TBH, when my Japanese friend requested to try this I was sceptical. Firstly how legit can a popiah from soup spoon be? Secondly who ever thinks of eating popiah with soup??
I was blown away. First, maybe it was just luck but despite the long estimation they gave of 11-2, it came at 1130; just nice for lunch.
Secondly, the popiah tasted AMAZING with the soup. The fusion popiahs were fresh, the the traditional one properly made, giving my friend a try of the best of both worlds. They complimented the soup, as a refreshing bite, and was shockingly filling- I didn't touch the bread at all. Not to say it wasn't good as her toddler insistent on just eating the bread over his homemade Udon.
10/10 will buy again for my family to try! You know this is true cos I never ever write reviews, that's how good this was.
Love, your typical Singaporean who would have never gotten popiah outside a Hawker... Till now.
